剧情介绍：
“龙骑士”的生命是不朽的，可是却对内部的分裂防不胜防。那一代中，一个名叫盖尔巴特瑞克斯的10岁男孩，通过了“龙骑士”最终考验，正式成为他们中的一员。由于无可匹敌的神力，“龙骑士”皆生性傲慢、极度自信，很快就有了自己的龙坐骑的盖尔巴特瑞克斯和两个好友出门旅行，却惨遭围杀，两个好友命丧黄泉，盖尔巴特瑞克斯侥幸逃脱，却永远地失去了本应该伴他终身的伙伴--飞龙。他在荒郊游荡了几个月之后，神智开始越来越混乱，最后被一名农夫发现昏迷在野外……当他回到“龙骑士”的大本营时，就像换了一个人。
“龙骑士”的长老觉得盖尔巴特瑞克斯没有资格再获得一条飞龙，这个决定终将他推入了疯狂的深渊，他开始像黑暗力量屈服，私自偷走了一条刚刚孵化出来的小龙，还说服了“龙骑士”中意志最薄弱的莫赞加入自己，两人开始策动向“龙骑士”复仇的大战。后来，又有12名因为各种原因临时倒戈的“龙骑士”，他们组成了“13毁约同盟”，残酷地屠杀“龙骑士”。
盖尔巴特瑞克斯成了最后的胜者，他自立为王，用残暴的方式统治整个阿拉盖西亚王国，常年战火纷飞。而我们的小主人公伊拉贡就生活在这个动荡的国度里，从小就被妈妈抛弃的他和叔叔生活在一起，每天以耕种和打猎为生，一天，他在树林里拾到一块泛着蓝光的石头，从此，命运发生了翻天覆地的变化。伊拉贡拾到的是一颗龙蛋，飞龙只有在碰到它真正的主人时才会孵化，当伊拉贡惊奇地看着那只小蓝龙时，还不知道自己注定会成为一名“龙骑士”，一个已经消失了几百年的族类的最后一人。小龙的到来，为和伊拉贡相依为命的叔叔带来了杀身之祸，却也引来了导师布罗姆和精灵公主阿娅的帮助，他们形成了新的同盟，虽然力量非常单薄，却是这个国家惟一的希望。
