最近看了尼古拉斯。凱奇主演的《戰爭之王》，片頭就是用的這首歌，別有一番滋味。
說道「水牛春田／Buffalo SPringfield」就不得不說到一個大名鼎鼎的人物：Neil Young，出生於1945年11月12日的加拿大多倫多。他最早的戰斗歷史要追溯到五十年代中期的Squires，一支半職業化的樂隊。1963年他隨Squires樂隊一起出現在加拿大民謠樂壇而開始了他的演唱生涯。1964年，他定居紐約，加入Mynah Birds樂隊。不久後，因對Mynah Birds成績感到不滿，他和樂隊貝司手Bruce Palmer共同前往洛杉磯尋求發展。在洛杉磯，他倆和Stephen Stills成立了被稱為當時美國最好的Buffalo Springfield樂隊。並取得成功。但樂隊的成功導致了一系列危機開始讓Neil Young感到厭煩，他於1968年4月退出樂隊。
Neil Young是唯一可以和Bob Dylan相提並論的民搖藝人，從六十年代末一直到今天，Neil Young從未停止過對搖滾樂的探索，從早期的rockabilly、布魯斯一直到硬搖滾。但是他最喜愛的還是民搖、鄉搖。Neil Young大量的作品影響了幾代人，甚至一些絲毫沒有創作能力的grunge樂隊都樂於自稱源於他的影響。在Neil Young進入演繹生涯第四個十年後的今天，他依然保持著旺盛的創作能力。
