劇情介紹：新《三國》海報九十五集大型史詩電視劇《三國》是由中國傳媒大學電視製作中心策劃立項，由數家實力影視製作機構聯合出品，取材自中華古典四大名著之一的《三國演義》和史書《三國志》。本劇通過表現從東漢末年群雄割據，到官渡之戰、赤壁之戰後三國鼎立，再到司馬家篡魏後天下歸晉的整個過程，肯定了以「人」、以"仁"為本，治理天下首先要聚攏人心的思想；弘揚了精忠報國、顧全大局、胸襟廣闊、英勇無畏、堅韌不拔、重信重義等中華民族優秀的意志品質和精神傳統；展現了人文哲思、軍政戰略、兵法陣法等中國文化中博大精深的文化和智慧。
該劇從2004年開始創作劇本，五易其稿，將於2008年9月正式開機，並於2010年在中日兩國隆重首播。該劇集結了中美港台兩岸三地強大的演員陣容和巨額投資，使得場面氣勢磅礴，感人肺腑,放映至今已經雷倒無數觀眾，是當代雷人歷史劇的集大成者。目前本劇已被定為國家廣電總局全面扶植的重點電視劇。
全劇以「董卓進京、曹操刺董」開篇，歷經了「諸侯會盟伐董卓」、「貂蟬獻身除國賊」、「群雄逐鹿奪徐州」、「官渡大戰爭北方」、「火燒赤壁定三分」、「三國鼎足各蓄力」、「夷陵之火蜀敗亡」，直至最後「諸葛司馬爭兵鬥法」這一系列情節段落。全劇在大幅度改編原著，按照編劇自己的理解，將龐雜浩繁的素材加以精練、剪裁，使得整劇結構勻稱、緊湊，呈現出一種一氣呵成、緊鑼密鼓、跌宕起伏的面貌，其連貫性、緊湊性、戲劇性都達到了一個新的高度。
