評論：《英國病人》是部充滿了人文關懷的電影，它表現的人類最純真的感情，它展示著為了人類最本真的愛，人們可以多麼的不顧一切，拋去人類為自身製造的種種枷鎖。我想也正是它展現的這些感情盡管與道德有那麼多令人為難的沖突，但是依然打動很多人的原因，在1996年的奧斯卡獎上它也獲得諸多大獎，或許這也是對它表達的理念的肯定。
